- I provide my own protective drop cloths, heavy-duty easel, and use low-odor, premium non-toxic materials, ensuring complete safety for everyone.
How far in advance should I book for Live Wedding Painting?
As I can only paint one wedding per date, the calendar fills up incredibly fast—particularly for peak Ontario wedding seasons (May through October). To secure your date, it is highly recommended to book 12-18 months in advance.
How much does a live wedding painter cost?
My prices for live wedding painting starts at $1900 + hst for a 10”x14” canvas. I do require a 20% deposit at time of booking, and then the rest 3-4 weeks prior to the event date. you can see the full list of sizes and prices on the live wedding painting section!
What should I expect when hiring a live wedding painter?
Hiring a live wedding painter adds an unforgettable layer of interactive entertainment for your guests and leaves you with a priceless, custom heirloom to cherish forever. The process begins months before your big day with a consultation to choose your perfect scene—like your first kiss or first dance—and customize the details. On the wedding day, I will arrive two to three hours early to capture the reference photo and paint the venue's background, which then transforms into a live visual performance as your guests arrive. You won't need to sit and pose, as I will use the on-site reference photo to capture your likeness while you celebrate, and then will finish the painting back in my studio. A flawless, museum-quality finished wedding keepsake will be delivered within a couple weeks after the wedding.
How long does it take to complete a live wedding painting?
The bulk of your custom painting is created live during your wedding reception so your guests can enjoy the interactive experience. While booking times can vary, they usually range from 3-5 hours at the reception. To guarantee a museum-quality finish, I take the canvas back to my Toronto studio after the wedding for meticulous touch-ups, fine detailing, and a protective archival varnish. Your completed masterpiece will be ready for pick-up or delivery within 1-2 weeks after the wedding.
Can you include pets or late family members in the painting?
Yes, absolutely. One of the most meaningful aspects of a custom fine art commission is the ability to include your cherished pets, children, or late family members who are celebrating in spirit. By providing reference photos prior to your wedding day, I can seamlessly paint them into your venue scene. For extra persons included in the painting there is typically an extra $25-$50 charge per person
Are you LGBTQ friendly?
Yes, absolutely! As an openly bisexual artist I love to do LGBTQ weddings.
